Materials & quality
What is Jewelry & Art jewelry made of?
Most of our jewelry is 18k gold plated stainless steel, which is hypoallergenic, water resistant and tarnish-resistant. Select styles are gold plated 925 sterling silver, and some pieces feature natural stones, freshwater pearls, enamel or crystals. Every product page lists its exact materials.
Is your jewelry waterproof?
Our 18k gold plated stainless steel jewelry is water and sweat resistant — you can shower, swim in the pool or ocean and work out in it. A few pieces should stay dry: watches (water resistant, not waterproof), lockets, and beaded, cord, fabric or faux leather styles. These are noted on each product page.
Will my jewelry tarnish or turn my skin green?
No. Stainless steel with 18k gold plating resists tarnish and won't turn your skin green. Every 18k gold plated piece is backed by our 1-year tarnish warranty.
Is your jewelry hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. Stainless steel and sterling silver are among the best metals for sensitive ears and skin, and our earrings use hypoallergenic posts.
What is the difference between gold plated stainless steel and solid gold?
Solid gold is gold all the way through and costs much more. Our pieces have a layer of 18k gold bonded over durable stainless steel, giving you the look of fine gold jewelry at an everyday price, with the strength and water resistance of steel.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Rinse with fresh water after the ocean or a chlorinated pool, pat dry with a soft cloth and store pieces separately so they don't scratch. Avoid bleach, harsh cleaners and abrasive polishes. Put on perfume and lotion before your jewelry.
Shipping & orders
How long does shipping take?
In-stock orders ship from Miami, Florida in 3–4 business days, and you'll receive tracking once your order ships. Custom and personalized pieces take about 3–4 weeks.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — U.S. orders of $75 or more ship free.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. International transit times are longer than domestic shipping, and tracking is provided once your order ships.
Returns, exchanges & warranty
What is your return policy?
You can request an exchange or store credit within 15 days of receiving your order. Items must be unworn, in their original packaging, with proof of purchase. We do not offer cash refunds. Email info@jewelryandartstore.com to start a return — items sent back without an approved request can't be accepted.
Which items are final sale?
Custom and personalized jewelry, sale or final-sale items and gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged.
Who pays for return shipping?
The customer covers return shipping. We'll send instructions on where to send your package once your return is approved.
What does the 1-year warranty cover?
All 18k gold plated pieces have a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase. If a piece tarnishes or has a defect within a year, email info@jewelryandartstore.com with photos and your full name. The warranty doesn't cover lost or damaged pieces, and approval is at Jewelry & Art's discretion.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Please inspect your order when it arrives and email us right away if anything is defective, damaged or wrong so we can make it right.
Personalized jewelry & sizing
How do I order personalized jewelry?
Type your name, initials or message in the personalization box on the product page. We engrave exactly as typed, so please double-check spelling. If you're shopping from Instagram or Facebook, open our website to add your personalization.
How do I find my ring size?
Each ring page lists available sizes, and many of our rings are open and adjustable. If you're between sizes, an adjustable style is the easiest choice.
What necklace length should I choose?
Many of our necklaces are 16" with an extender. 16" sits at the collarbone and 18" falls just below it. For belly chains, measure around your waist where you want it to sit.
Gifts & contact
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. Our digital gift card is delivered by email and can be used online, and physical gift cards are available in person.
